Chainsaw for the toadstool tree. Almost hit that guy on Tuesday!

Ya I know the ATV's were getting in elsewhere. I'm just letting people know they're back and hopefully their new access point is blocked off soon.

It could be done with a real good handsaw. It's probably about the width of your thigh Ryan. It may take a little while, but it saves a hike with a chainsaw.

Sounds like old growth. If no one gets to it I will quickly go up this weekend and cut it out if the baby and wife allow.

Managed to sneak out today for a short ride, the tree down on Lower Toadstool has been cut out with a handsaw and the trail is clear.

Just a reminder:

Starting this week, May 21st, and happening for the next two months, logging is going to resume in the lower parts of the Woodlot. There will be some closures of "The way up" or what is commonly referred to as Dogshit Trail and also the road near the bottom of B-Line and B-Line itself. To access the Woodlot during the active logging, you will have to park at the main gate at 28101 Dewdney Trunk Rd and climb the mainroad (it is a bit longer but a nice pedal and not that steep) or park at the 287th lot and hike up Shotgun. The Shotgun route is going to be tricky, especially on weekends.

Shotgun wont be busy on weekends if everyone else parks at the main gate

I'm guessing its the trail immediately upwards from the parking lot?

That's the one. It runs parallel (sorta) to Shotgun and has a lot of bigger rocks on it. It's steep-ish and dogs shit on it
