Regarding the IWMB, I'm entitled to the right of way because the sign says so.... Seriously though, if you don't want to yield the right-of-way then ride in the direction of traffic as the signs indicate.

So I broke this rule today. I was about to cross an intersection on a green when I saw a truck that wasn't stopping..he was kinda proceeding with caution and checking to see if he could get away with running the red. I kinda rolled out in front of him and he stopped before hitting me halfway through the intersection. I waved to him and pointed at the red light..then I saw a cop sitting in the passenger seat.

I gasped and reflex pointed at the cop and the cop hid his face. I then decided it would be a good time to get moving...

All in an average day.

Yesterday I am riding onto Georgia St. on my way home and a very nice car is wandering on the road forcing me too close to the curb. So I pull up beside him at the light, look into the car and here's a dude playing with his cel phone. Be aware out there.

Last week, facing north at the light at Winston and Lougheed, light turns green, semi trailer goes to turn left onto Lougheed, brain farts, turns directly at an oncoming bus. Missed bus by a few feet, didn't brake or slow down. Bus driver throws arms up in disbelief. WTF? How can a "pro" not see a fricking bus? What chance would a cyclist have?
