must of been James organizing it... fast forward to ~1:30 it was pretty fun to watch, Lopes kills it at the starts.

The format is weird, kinda like xc meets 4x - interesting move.

Love the format : Straight uphill start... Wait , I've already done that.


Looks good, spectator friendly, easy to run, loads of suspense and action. Looks like a good add on for Crankworks, or other ski hill venues.

Did you see the XC course? I love it, it's like a cyclocross race on steroids! but still needed more jumps/drops.

why the continued hate for Lopes?
can't be because he diagonally parked once, the typical shuttler is more of nuisance with their vehicles?
can't be because he is more self centered than Palmer?
lots of others self promote more

Not so different from the Cactus Cup dirt crit at Whistler or was that the Blackcomb base. Any one recall the race that went through the Longhorn? Poor junior racers had to show ID every lap to prove they were racing and not trying to drink.

I know the one you speak of. The xc as I recall went up Blackcomb via the ski run - can't recall the name.. had the bridge over the parking lot. Went up above the base lodge back then.

They ran the Crit on the paved road.. it went past Umberto's.

I don't think I did any bridge in the parking lot. Not that I remember anyway. The xc race through the Longhorn was memorable though. I think it was a Canada Cup race but that was a long time ago.

Too bad the course only has one line. If there were some passing lines it would be much more interesting to watch.

Back then it was the only run from the original Blackcomb Day lodge down to the Village Chair rightnear the Longhoprn. That is when one could actually ski out. The bridge I recall was to cross over a road that was to overflow parking I think it was.
