Bike trip for the fall (Spain & Morocco)

Was hoping to get a few ideas on a trip the wife and I are planning for mid October this year. Going to visit a friend in the area of Malaga, Spain. I know there is a national park about an hour or so to the north-east. This could be a starting point for riding in Spain.

We are also interested in getting into Morocco. One of the areas I had heard that had some mountain biking was around Essaouira, on the coast, west of Marrakesh.

Looking at doing a 3-4 day tour in each area. Would look to source bikes & possibly helmets locally rather than bring our own. The type of riding we are looking to find is some more than basic jeep roads. Some nice single track, that is not super technical but still is challenging would be best.

If anyone has done some biking in these areas comments appreciated.

I haven't ridden there yet (will do in April), but my internet research showed plenty of guided tours. Check out the sites below, those are the ones I bookmarked (there are more, but weren't in an area I was interested in visiting), it will give you some idea. I'll be riding with the first of the XC/AM etc guides mentioned, so PM me by mid-april if you want more info on them (I'm not logged in very often, though).

Also, if you're there, do go to Granada. Not just for the Alhambra, it has plenty more to offer. Have fun.
I know there are guided tours in Morocco, mostly the Atlas mountains, but that's the extent of my knowledge.
