Dylan Dunkerton was DQ'ed for this year's comp so we made him judge instead.

Here's his take on the penultimate week of the comp.

Great selections. The second one with the Sun flare is my favorite, esp after riding the Ripper on Fromme in the snow on Sat and Mt. Washington in the snowless, bone chilling Snow to Surf on Monday.

Makes me remember back, a long time ago, so long ago that I can't remember... when it was warm.

I really like shot number two, and in my opinion it should be the winner. Very unique perspective, very creative. Damien Rosso is a suspect pro. it came out a few weeks ago about his whole spread in a french mountain bike magazine, with shots published that were entered in this comp. but it is a really good shot, so either way. one more week left. i can't wait to see the final entries, should be really good.

also, look at the week 2 winner article discussion to get a full discussion about damien rosso's work. not sure, but he's got a whole magazine spread about his work, along with the cover shot that is very similar to the one he used in the week two shot.

Looks like Damian has a 10 page spread in VeloVert #198 pages 62-72 with full page shots (sick shots). The link above gives you the new mag (#199) but if you go down you can choose the older mags. The little magazine in the top right lets you flip pages.

His shit is tight, thats for sure.

He sells images on a stock photo site, but thats not covered in the rules.

Doesn't look like he breaks the overall intent of the comp, but he has been published.

Would have to agree on the choices, that winning photo is awesome, as are those in the spread JSinclair posted. Looks like he might be on that fine line of just barely being able to compete in moneyshot.

Don't know if he's a pro or not, but I do know I just poached his photo.

In simple terms, if you in some way make a living of your photographic skills, doesn't that make you a pro?
