I H8 Crust
Went up Hollyburn this morning with some high hopes. Had such a good day up there yesterday. But that inch thick layer of crust above all that goodness really puts a damper on the fun. We were hoping the sun might melt some of the ice away, but that didn't happen at all. So we sucked up our pride and gave all the other snowshoers and skiiers some entertainment as we hacked our way down just inside the treeline.

yup, I was glad we were on slowshoes tonight instead of skis. Cypress sure had a thick sun crust over some really nice deep pow.

yeah it sucked but just think, if you can ski that shit then you'll be pro on anything else. and still a lot faster on the down than slowshoes.

plus it was way better than working ...
