This is a transcribed article from the 24hours daily newspaper written by Braedan Caley in the December 16th edition. Completely word for word at that. I ripped it out since I found that I identified with his message and also igured it'd be a good discussion piece for NBR.

Cindy Silver is in my riding. She's been spending her last few years trying to stop gay marriages, and now she says she's OK with them.

After watching the French debate tonight, I no longer dislike Harper. Instead, he worries me. Very reminiscent of Mulroney, except not nearly as smart/slimey. The guy didn't answer one question with any kind of detail. If his party were to win, we have no idea of what is going to happen. Wow, we'll get a cut in GST (how much, nobody knows), in exchange for either going back into a deficit, or the cutting of a lot of programs. He'll not bring up the gay marriage issue (or abortion, or anything else ultra conservative), yet he doesn't tell anyone that won't stop his party members from bring up private member bills on these issues, which he would support.

If the Liberal government wasn't brought down, we'd at least know where the government stands.

I hope the NDP and BLOC lose seats for their stupid attempt at opportunism, and for not giving the Liberals another 2.5 years. After all, 10 years of economic growth, debt reduction, personal income tax reduction, unemployement rate reduction, has really sucked.

I'm just hoping that any seats either would lose wouldn't go to the cons. It's kind of funny, my poli sci prof in the last classes of last term was talking about how he couldn't see the NDP possibly benefiting out of this election. Either they take out the liberals and have to form a coalition with the Cons

or they go back so square one with the libs still in power and them in a coalition. I really don't see any benefit for them to have the election now...
