I know there is a ferries strike thread but this isn't about that.

So im watching the ferry strike on the tv. And it amazed me so much how the news puts that the union is bad and how much the corperation is trying to fuck over the union, first off it says the ferry workers on the ferry need no training, thats not true they have to go to a like 10 day course or somthing (i think its longer) and they learn all about the ship and saving people and everything. And then they dont say anything about who is actually controlling the running of the ferries. The ferry employees have no say in if hte ferry runs or not its all the governent so when the 7:00 ferry ( or whatever it was) was said to not run its not the ferry workers fault its the government, And they just did it to piss people off and get them against the union and the ferry workers. But holy shit the news is one sided I dont see how somone can acculy trust what they see on it , its bad.

My mom doesn't get paid overtime, she goes to work 30 minutes early and she leaves after when she has to take money back and everything, she gets paid no overtime, The news is telling incorrect facts.

my parents actually said i should try and get a job there a couple months ago. since i live in tsawwassen, but i didnt want to because i've heard some horror stories aboutt he ankles messing up froim ivbrations on the floor and my left ankle is shit from breaking it already....

Same thing is happening in the forest industry, why pay some one 22$ an hour starting wage when you can contract the job out for 10$ an hour. If union wages weren't so ridiculous then there wouldn't be such a problem. But come on, 22 bucks to serve fucking food.. you gotta be kidding me.
