Evil DRS to single ring conversion?

I'm not a big fan of the Blackspire DS-1. The chainline is less than ideal because of the space it uses to include the boomerang.

I've got an Evil DRS that I want to convert to a single ring retention system. I've flipped the stepped roller so I'll have tension on the single ring.

1) Anyone see a potential problem?
2) Is running only a bottom roller on a full suspension with a single ring set up enough to keep the chain on?

You could buy a single ring roller and replace what you have (I've seen an MRP roller used to replace the DRS roller).

You could run an inner bash guard.

You could keep the small chain ring on.

It's actually for a different bike set up with one ring. Otherwise I'd just keep two rings on. I dont' mind the inner bash guard, but it seems to do nasty things to the chainline.

Thanks for the tip on the MRP roller. I might give that a try.
