XC noobie, looking for guidance!
Hey everyone
Just pick up a new xc bike and I am looking for some guidance on trails. I remember they used to sell trail maps at various bike shops but do they do this for XC?? Any one interested in going for a ride next weekend on the shore or where ever?

Burnaby mountain has some good XC loops; map here:
http://www.bmba.ca/gallery/v/trail_m...p2008.pdf.html The NSMBA also has links to some maps on their site: http://nsmba.ca/trail-maps Or take a look at the route map for the North Shore Marathon XC - Bridle path is a good place to start on the North Shore for XC riding. The Buntzen Lake area (Anmore/Port Moddy) has some good XC loops too: http://www.trailpeak.com/trail-Buntz...-Anmore-BC-424 |

there's no cross country on the shore. Just XX-country. Go to Squamish.

it's raining on the shore - things will be slippery.
I heard they cleaned up the landslide on S2S, so Squamish should be good to go. I hear they have great shuttle trails. |

I also vote for Bridal Path area, Demo Forest/Lower Seymour has some good fun stuff.
We rode the North Shore Bike Fest route, got pummeled by it...

There's also a 20 dollar "shuttle fee" payable via the SORCA website.
It's good for a whole day. |
