Thailand Shots (loads of photos.)
So the climbing thread got me thinking, I should really make a thread with some shots I took in Thailand.
I went last February for 2 months. Everything is taken either in Bangkok or Tonsai. I would highly suggest checking out thailand if you're looking for a place to travel, but you all knew that Now remember, I'm no photographer so be gentle. I'll kick things off with a few shots of bangkok... Yes it's a shithole, but once you get used to how things work it's a little more tolerable. ![]() Unreal real estate. ![]() A shot of the infamous Khao San Road. You won't recognize it because I took that photo at about 6am or something silly. Normally it is PACKED with people and shops. ![]() One of the coolest things about thailand was the attention to details in some places. This was on the ceiling of a temple we went to. ![]() Oh yes. The beaches. Would you believe me if I said they only get better than this one? ![]() Now here's a shot for all you Top Gear fans out there. The gentleman suspended from his parachute is the very same guy featured in the episode of top gear where clarkson races the climbers up a mountain (they go up the cliff, he takes the Audi up the road). I forget his name, but he was the belayer. He ended up getting a bunch of free stuff from audi (several year lease on an Audi, the audi parachute you see in the photo), neat guy to talk to. ![]() I really liked this shot, until I discovered that using your ipod as a portable harddrive to store your photos compresses everything. It looks awful at any other resolution. ![]() Serious Business. If you were anywhere near the ocean, these were everywhere. ![]() If you weren't climbing, you were napping in your hammock. If you weren't napping, you were slacklining. ![]() This is a shot from the top of a climb called Groove Tube. Give you an idea of how awesome a place I was in. I must say that low tide really sucks though. ![]() One of the highlights was the ability to go Deep Water Soloing. Loved it!! ![]() The "Other" part of deep water soloing. ![]() Ok, so there might be some weird aspects of thai religion... There was this cave where you would make an offering of a phallic object, and it would promote fertility. I forget the actual mythology behind it, but hilarious nonetheless. Thats all for now, but I've got loads more including lots of climbing shots.

I love slacklining. It's something simple and everyone can enjoy. Plus, it was right beside the bar. Who can complain?
There were some crazy guys though, I saw 360s and another guy almost landed a backflip.
