Peter, Thanks for your concern but the old rock route is/was TOO steep for a blue hiking trail. The ramp is there to make the trail more mellow for more intermediate riders. if people ride it with caution and don't slide there won't be any problems. it's built from Split cedar and with the traffic it gets it should stay nice and grippy for a while. The old rock line was modified and is still present and can still be ridden for those that prefer the challenge.

Peter was consulted before the work got done on the Stairs of Despair and everyone agreed the ramp was a great alternative.

Thanks Pete, but I just don't want to be made out to be some usurping non-supporter simply because life prevented me from being able to make it out to the AGM. Again, sponsoring trail days, individual trail builders, driving around people and materials, personal time doing maintenance, selling I Ride Here shirts, cash donations, the list goes on. I really do feel that despite my absence at the AGM I am still definitely in the "does support" camp.
