I really like the head-to-head thing they do on "Top Gear" and have always thought that a MTB version of that show would be awesome (probably via 'webisodes' or podcasts)... I think it would be pretty cool to have a "Stig" like racer putting the various DH bikes through their paces on a dedicated track/trail... The freelap timing system could be used to identify which frames excel in certain areas in addition to providing an overall time... Someone here did something similar with tires - which was interesting and sort of shows that that kind of 'head-to-head' shoot out can work as a viable form of "infotainment".

From the Shocker thread - I think this is a great idea and I would be happy to host/ run them here in Whistler next season. A half decent local rider versus a ranked BC Cup or higher rider, freelap and a couple of beers, they can do the riding and I can compare it my lap/ experience, write up their comments and consolidate a well written review.
