Stinkey_rider and I are going to head over to the Island this afternoon and looking for spots to ride between Nanaimo and Courtney.
Tonight we would like to ride something closeish to Nanaimo then we plan to camp somewhere and head and ride in the Comox valley on Saturday.
Sunday is SSC.
We aren't looking for big huck ganr. Just some fun new trails.
The cvmtb.com site has maps but no trail descriptions. Neither of us have ever riden on the Island so we got no clue.
Any help?

Not xc. Lets call it single black diamond dh/freeride? technical all mountain? Old school Shore? Stuff like Fromme. Not looking for new school big gaps ala Woodlot. Loam that goes down hill after either shuttle or fire road climb.

How many teeth is your average chainring? How many minutes/seconds do you want to be riding up and down? How many minutes of rest? What colours will you be wearing? We need more details before we can provide any info...

Forbidden is on the list. Whats the shuttle like? High clearance 4x4 only or more like the B&K on the SSC?
Skifreak or Universe looking for some riding partners tomorrow?

Just a gravel road, you can easily drive a car up there, likely even smoother than the B&K

Forbidden is such a great place to ride!
You may want to consider hopping up to Port Alberni from Parksville as well. So good stuff there.
