So work needs me to head to our Paris office for July25-27... was sitting at home when it dawned on me that this means I can be in Paris when the tour rolls down the Champs D'Elyse. Hotel is walking distance to the Arc de triomphe and I'm booked in through Monday.
Will have to bring the camera for this trip - I'm Stoked!
Anyone else been? Curious what to expect (about a million people hanging out I'm guessing :) )
I saw it roll into Paris when I was there, many, many years ago. There were a lot of people on the sides of the road but you get a good chance to see the riders as they do the loop several times. I climbed a tree and watched from there which worked out very well. It's a cool thing to experience, I'd love to see it these days. Enjoy

No advice, but I just want to say that Basso's suspension potentially means no more pics of his sister.
Sanrensho is sad. Very sad.

Not as big a deal as the absence of Ms Basso, but no Petacchi either. Likely suspended for drug use. Not going to the Tour anyway. It'll be all Robbie, all the time.

There was still a chance Ms Basso (soon to be Mrs Eddy Mazzoleni) would still have been there, except her fiancee just got busted for the dope, too. Ouch, bro and future husband are cheaters.

If you're going to threadjack this thread to be about Basso's sister, then I demand pictures!

i went and saw it in paris a few years back, get there early
and bring fooooddd. Its nice to see them mount the podium ect.
One of the earliest memories I have is walking along the C.d'E. with my family, looking for a playground..I was like 6 or seven...and sudeenly the huuge crowd starts cheering...I run to the fence and see a blur of jerseys racing by...wow. did repeat it years later...and it is really an experience.
btw. the sister looks like a rubber doll.´..err, no, her..you-now-what-I-mean thingys.
