Its amazing what can happen when you have too much fun. I'm sitting here finally at home with two sprained ankles, a charlied thigh, bruised left shoulder and a splintered left hand (get the pun ;)). that little whip to the left at the entrance of lower a line did me in better than i thought - the one before the tiled corners. no idea what in the funk happened either. i slowed the rebound down on the totem, put some air in the 5th since it seems to leak like a civ and as you might guess, an air shock with some air in it makes a huge difference. so now i'm disabled for the most part. i was able to ride down by world cup single track to lower b line, enjoy a fine poutine & a few spiced rum n cokes before the clinic visit which was pleasant as usual. the drive home was painful. the good ankle got the worst of the two sprains which was also the driving foot while the driving hand has the splint.
i thought the sinister wasnt so good but a dead shock would do it. its a ripper. and the totem, ahh goddamn thing is a beauty. this took forever to type one handedly.
If you're talking about the jump directly before the left-hand tiled corner then I think whipping to the left may have been your first mistake, the landing's over to the right...!

had a friend snap his frame there by transfering too far to the right.

that transfer can be tricky if you punch into it too much. If you transfer left to right you will naturally get sideways so watch the speed. I've over shot that thing so many times and have damn near high sided just as many times. BUT man, when you hit that thing clean it is such a sweet feeling to boost off that, poke out the back end and stomp the landing jsut in line for the corner.. MMMMMMMM classic A-line, LOVE IT!

I love that jump! I feel for ya buddy, on Monday I went off the a-line drop and landed fine but my fork snapped and I ate it pretty hard. waiting for the xrays to come back on my wrist, road rash on my arms and back, cut up thighs and a cramped up calf.

you're freaking lucky man....my fork snapping cost me a cracked skull, eardrum and three fractured vertebrae....

that jump broke has hanger twice...
when you really hit it from the far left and land on the right, it feels like its just destroying your frame/rims

That rock ride on the landing can be very rough if you dont follow the right line. Doesnt feel very nice.

alright so i didnt describe it right. it wasnt the big jump over the bare rock. it was the little jump before the rock jump into the tiled corners. its about the third thing into lower a line: you got that super sweet berm, the lil dipper pump thing and then the jump around the corner. either way, something went wrong.
I wonder how cool a line webcams would be. that'd be one popular feed. in other news, london drugs has some pretty good braces going on.

Back when I rocked a switchblade, I remember landing that nose heavy when it still had some dirt and was wet. the front tire just washed out before the rear touched down and it was dome and shoulder first to the rock. me smrter now and just clear it.

there was once dirt covering it?
I crashed today, but not on a line. I washed out on a corner on fantastic going really fast haha. I went over and slid on my belly for like 6 feet. Got a nice cut on my elbow and road rash on my hip. I wont be riding tomorrow, thats for sure. Im super tired anyways.

Thats the number of times a-line has taken me off the bike. This is the first time its given me a fracture, usually its just stitches and concussions.
