It started hailing at about 1:30 and then raining, but it looked like things were going to clear up. Apparently, they didn't. Rain into serious snow on the Coquihalla summit, and that just kept on blowing across the valley.

Bring your parkas and snowshoes if you're heading to the Star for July long. :D

Stuart... you were talking to "Lawn dart Dieter" while he was nursing his wounds.

We got caught on the chair when it started to hail.

Pretty neat... the trails were nice and grippy after that!

The Coc was nuts coming back!

So what's the damage report on Dieter? Anything serious?

We were waiting to get on the lift when it started hailing. My friend was wearing a sleeveless tee and Dainese, and was a little chilly. Did a final run on World Cup, and made the mistake of trying the wall. That was interesting...

Drive home was nuts indeed. Lots and lots of snow at the summit, and then buckets of rain around Hope.

Hey Keith,

Look up Act of God. ;)

Smart move that you didn't head back out. It's either going to be unreal, or totally muddy for the weekend. I'm guessing the latter.

Dieter is a busy guy... or pretends to be I guess... he is fine. No broken bones...

Maybe his ego is a little black and blue. But last I heard he was gearing up for Whistler.

I wanted to make it up this weekend as I had such a rad time last weekend.... but pesky work keeps on calling.

Need money!

Would love to, but will be in Cali sucking in smoke from that fire in Lake Tahoe. Lucky me. I'll be there soon enough!

Bring the bikinis and wooly sox, and you should be good for just about any situation. ;)

Synchro says his sandwich is good for all seasons and it's all he's wearing this weekend. The only difference is he likes to toast it in the winter for warmth.

JUst thought id give you guys the heads up on that 15 cm of snow that fell on Sunday....It totally f***ed up all the trails and the mtn will be closed through the long weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!......KIDDING ....I just got a call tonite from the Trail Crew Boss ...Cam Sorensen(they did a couple of shuttles tonite after work)...and he said that the snow that fell was the best thing that could have happened to that mtn.Where heavy rain flows away and makes drainage issues....snow melts and goes deep into the dirt....making the trails super tacky and MAKING SOME OF THE SICKEST CONDITIONS YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:fu:

Tomorrow Am is gonna be MINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
