so, the other day at whistler, I noticed my new fork would settle about a full 1.5" into ists travel as I decended.

I then noticed it would settle in there even when I was riding flat. It seems strange. It seems like a lot of sag. I don't like it.

Its a 7" totem coil. thoughts?

1.5 inches would be about right for a 7" fork, generally you want 20-30% sag on your fork for a plush ride.

How did you set your sag?

For DH/Freeriding I generally want at least 20-25% sag. Rockshox manual calls for 15-25%

7" X 25% = 1.75"

Did you read your owners manual?

sounds right, you want some negative travel to keep everything plush. You should be bottoming your fork every once in a while too
