I hope not too, it's an amazing comp, its basicly the only pro comp here now that there isn't a metro jam. And BTW whistler mountain is planning to plow the jumps 3 days after the comp :| they want to build a dual slomon course or something. Whistler Diarys will have more later I hope they dont plow them, iwant to ride them first.

Those jumps look sick and I cant wait to see what the riders throw down.
And as a music fan, I will be excited to see Metric for my third time!

using all that sweet dirt to build a sweet slalom course ain't a bad idea, that course isn't exactly usable by many folks, as completely and utterly badass as it is, it is a work of art, don't get me wrong, but having a cool dual slalom course with big berms and stuff would be rad too....pretty much anyone can ride a slalom course....

They should use the dirt to make the jump farm again!

My vote was for keeping the jumps. The riders around here are progressing so quickly and a lot of it is because they had those jumps to ride in the past and because of the Air Dome. I don't think that a lot of people on big bikes are going to ride the DS after and the DJ rippers don't care about DS.
We'll see - I have been wrong before.

speaking of the dual slalom, when is that bad boy gonna be built, what's she gonna look like, a little bit of everything I hope, some old school off camber turns and flat ones, need some perma gates to practice with.....

I can see what you're saying, but even still, that would be for a very elite selection of riders I think.......I'm stoked to see what kind of slalom course gets built, if it's done right, say similar to a pump track, I think it'll be a very popular addition to the park since it can be fun for all skill levels....nothing super gnarly or crazy.....think sea otter with it's big deep pocket berms to rail, some rollers you could pump, manual or double up.....if it's done right I think it'll be sweetness on dirt....

the thing that does indeed suck though is the time and effort that goes into those redbull jumps, an art indeed.....but I guess like many things, temporary....

I'm amazed by how far in advance the jumps have been built, they've been a work in progess for a good month now already and the contest is still two weeks away. I know that for a setup that 'rhythmical' they need to ride, tweak and re-ride the jumps to get them spot-on, but even so they seem to be miles ahead of the game.

Definatly Keep them, its the best set that we have anywhere. People every year have a blast on them. It's a good way to mix up the day after a solid day on the mountain runs. Super stoked for these ones.

Yeah, it always takes me forever to do one, and then do the next one. Would be cool to keep atleast the first bunch so we can all learn them or something.

un like a sketchy slopestyle cource with no flow they need more then two weeks to build it. also if the jumps sit for abour 4 weeks they will pack on their own with the rain, they will just need to be buffed once and a wile. plus, jumps liek that even with 3 bobcats they are still shaping and packing just about every jump by hand.

Yeah, I understand the logic behind it totally- I was more amazed that they're able to occupy that clump of land for so long (the scaffolding has been up for about 6 weeks already). It's great that they have the chance to do things properly, doubly so when you think that most KOD sets are boggy affairs thrown together in a two-day window.
I can't wait! :D
