It's actually been there for a year and a half. It did not however, have that many workable lines the way it was built the first time. It had something to do with no actual trias riders being consulted during construction. All was not lost however. Last December, Joan Jones of the West Coast School of Mountain Biking, Ryan Leech Ken Gauthier, Dylan Korba and me re-worked the park with help from the city of Port Moody, so now there are dozens of excellent lines. It also has the great advantage of being partially under cover (it's under an overpass) and lit at night, so it really is a good place to ride. It's across the street from the skatepark, so there's fun for the whole family.

You'll see lots trials park riding in the next crop of trials videos, such as Match 3, Ryan Leech's forthcoming "Manifesto", the next one from Desmond Lee, of "Leaps and Bounds" fame.

in that case...yes it is a very good place to learn, there are lines from beginners to pro, from size small to size large.

It's a great little place to practice. There's hardly ever anyone there. I've been there practicing skinny's and wheelie drops when the weather's too miserable to hit the trails. There's nothing huge there, but it's great for the less talented like myself.

ya thats park from the POV of..:

if you are a decent, really good trials guy, its pretty good, rainproof place to ride although there are better stuffs to ride,

if you are a normal freerider, it sucks, go to the biker cross park in lafarge

Port Moody skate park woo woo for grinders. Anyone know where the Port Moody industrials are?? The Ones in PoCo are sick for street riders.
