after that long low one, in the pissing rain and mud, a no brake check is no goods. i hit it the usual left to right as a hip, sent it pretty good, it felt solid. landed and my back wheel kept on goin sideways. once the bike got perpendicular to my direction of travel ... someone got turfed. arms out seemed like a bad idea, so they stayed close to prevent certain breakage. bounced off the ground, pack breaks, loud noises, it hurts and i sound like a dying mule slightly winded. trying to crawl off the trail to realise im crawling up the trail, son of a ...! hang a left and go to lay in the grass, soo as i lay back i get a bunch of mud in my eyes from inside my goggles. sweet. day later amrs all scraped up, shoulders bruised, scraped up my leg and got a rad charlie horse. AND my crowning acheivement a nice large and in charge bruse right on my hip which im assuming was an area of high impact. needless to say im not workin today and not feelin too hawt.

to the guys that stopped and asked if i was alright and needed patrol, thank you!

my plan was to go up there pick up barry on the way and have someone to ride with, barry couldnt make it. i dont like the park solo, but i managed to meet up with 2 guys on the life. one of the guides joel and his buddy who i have since forgotten his name, so i rode with them. super fun guys to ride with!! had i been riding solo that would have really sucked, but i wasnt, so i guess if you are gonna go solo, take it easy.

steve.

Shit, son! Lower A-line is so sketch. The third last jump is really easy to over shoot and the last jump you have to slow down quite a bit. I almost bailed a couple of years back on the third last jump. Over shot it big time and wobbled for a bit, but slowed down enough before the long table.
+ karma for those that helped8).

that hit is a hip if you pin it left to right, slow down if your gonna go straight, the rock in the hips landing could be removed though, it bits me sometimes.....

that jump needs a big brake check if you are going to trick it, or else!

funny I pin it after the long floater, wide turn, then from the left side of the takeoff carve right, towards the little flag, takeoff, produce tabletop, smooth landing, no brakes....the landing for the hip is huge.....

I had a hard time following that, but I got the idea that you start on the far left and float on over to the top of the hipper landing, while tabling and thus turning. If so, I agree :P

Aline is fun, but I usually skip the bottom and go through the boneyard or the BX. the boneyward has more jumps per capita!

yeah riding solo in the park can be sketch but there's usually people not far behind you if you eat it..... to help or run over you if they can't see you until too late. I ate shit off the third to last one a couple years ago, full speed no brake check, back end bucked up and I landed way down the bottom on my side, back wheel got pulled off from the impact. First instinct is always to get the hell off the trail, glad you found your bearings in time!

I'm usually doing a day or two on the weekend if you're ever up for a ride then. Where the hell is Barry anyway? Tried to feed him beer a few times and couldn't get a hold of him.

haha, that jump is a little dodgy in the rain, i almost landed on a bear on saturday, if i hadnt hipped it i wouldve landed on one, it was sitting on the left side of the landing
