macro is a lot of fun...robert seth, what is that one with the red background? of mdubs i enjoy the helicopter most.
does anyone have a macro lens that can go more than 1x?

It's a peace lily. Extension tubes on a normal lens are a cheap way can you real close to things.

Does that affect your range of focus or cause any vignetting?

I have not noticed any vignetting with mine. I'm not sure if you would, since there is nothing in front of the lens itself..? The extension tube goes between the body and the lens. This brings your near focus limits of the lens closer and the depth of field becomes very shallow.
I shot this on the hood of my car with the extension tube and a 50mm/1.8.
