So even though it was raining, about 50+ people came out for the Steed/Sombrio trail day on Espresso! It was a good time all-round and it was great to see the new stunts these volunteers put up! A big thanks to all the volunteers, and another big thanks to the sponsors of the trail day... Steed Cycles, Sombrio, and NSMBA!!! Although it was raining (its funny because now its sunny!) I still saw lots of people having fun... which is always good! Hope to see you at the next trail day! Matt

haha ya that sucked! I think its because the first bunch of people wanted seconds before most people even got their food

Not exactly. There were only approx. 10 groms who went up to get seconds before the main group arrived.

On many of the other trail days, with upwards of 60+ people, there has been more than enough food to fill everyone, their dog, families, friends, and coworkers. Barb@Bushpilot Biking BBQs a MEAN salmon fillet. :drool:

Anyway, back to the trail day. Just trying to relay some thoughts and opinions from others who'd rather remain nice and polite instead of a whiny prima donna loser on the internet.

well Kim tried... he said he had 100 peices of food (hamburgers and hot dogs) but anyways... I'm still mad thats its sunny now AFTER the trail day :(

Sucks to hear they ran out of food, but just to keep things in perspective...

There are many shops who do NOTHING to support the trails in their area (maybe not the shore, but this is the case in other areas). I'd say lesson learned and I'm sure they will have more food next time.

Well, not much.

We ran out of food too, but a quick trip to the store and all was well.

And that 'favourite stunt' of yours is actally just a rebuild of a old classic feature of Espresso. The old structure (it's at least 7 years old) was n$(#ed into a t$%e, and wasn't structurally sound. The replacement structure is 100% free standing, and will last another 14 years! I'm sure it still has the same bone jarring transistion at the bottom of the down ramp too!
