I'm stoked for Lehikoinen to win, he seems to be a great guy. But oh boy, Hill was killing it! He beat everyone by 15 seconds in his qualifying run, that's absolutely insane. And despite the poring rain he managed to be 3rd. His fastest time during the dry still beat Lehikoinens winning time by more than 5 seconds. Hill would have slayed the whole field if it had stayed dry during his run...

amazing run by hill. that kind of margin is staggering considering the conditions - not to mention this was apparently the steepest, knarliest track in years. he may very well be the most talented dh'er on the planet right now. young, too - has a bright future ahead. could be another nico in the making if he keeps his body intact.

if everyone had to race in the wet, Sam Hill would have came with a 4:11 and Micael Pascal in 2nd with a 4:36, and the rest is history.

^^ o i believe you, scary how much faster one rider is and then the rest of the fields times are so close, although apperently theres a new rule from the uci where all the riders have to go right after the other so weather conditions affect all riders equally, dont know why they werent doing that before
