I finally picked up a new blade for the 'ol bucksaw,so now i can finally go do some trail work! it's been a few months since iv'e done any work on the new trail we're working on....i've been too busy building dj's and donig nothing. i'm stoked now!

bow saws a good for most days, but like once every month i need to borrow a chain saw to do soemthing big when i build.

yeah, I have no intention of owning one (or am I allowed to).
hopefully john can come up if somethign needs to be done.
I'll bring the chainsaw if we need heavy work, as partial as I am to it we'll need it sooner or later.

Yeah, unless we need to get some good cedar downed, we won't need it.
We can use rockwork instead of bridges, and the fallen down shit is rotten anyway.

Yeah i use a bowsaw almost all the time, but you do need a chainsaw once an a while to cut some shake blocks and big deadfall out of the way once and a while.
Bowsaw is cheap, light and stealth.

I have a chainsaw. If anybody wants help building/maintaining PM me and I will come help you out. I won't even make you pay for gas!

dammit, i went up to our trail today with the intention's of getting alot done, but alas, the blade i brought up there wasnt the right size:(
i was just guestimating, and was off by 2 inches:(
now i'll have to go and return this blade and get another one...so much hassle
You left the saw stashed by the trail?

yeup, thats how we've been doin it for years, keep all our tools wrapped up in some oly tarping to keep em from rusting, then there sno hastle of carrying them up every time.

lol....we stopped brcasue we figured maintenence on other trails was better and with all the stuff there gonnabuild up there we figured it might get torn down...
