Whistler Mountain Bike Festival on Outdoor Life Network Nationwide!
The Inaugural Whistler Mountain Bike Festival (WMBF) run on September 25th – 27th 2002, at Whistler BC is going to be the subject of a half hour show on Sweat TV on the Outdoor Life network shown nationwide in Canada!
Recently recognized in the March 2003 issue of Mountain Bike Magazine as one of “The Worlds Six Best Mountain Bike Festivals” the WMBF will now garner even more attention! Although we haven’t seen the footage yet, except for a few clips at the Sweat TV booth at the recent Advil Outdoor Show, we know that the BC Freeride competition is where most of the filming was done. We also know that there were quite a few local BC riders taking part. Check out the show times below and you may get a chance to see yourselves on OLN! Pretty cool!
When the camera crew was in Whistler they also did interviews with several riders and industry folks and we also made arrangements for local Freeride pioneer Dangerous Dan to go back to Toronto for a studio shoot that by all accounts went extremely well.
