Do you guys remember this thread (http://bb.nsmb.com/showthread.php?t=92412&highlight=year+itch) that I started a while ago? I can't remember if people figured it out or not but Jonny.Zee, last years Ripper Queen (scroll way down to the last pic/caption) (http://www.nsmb.com/community/triplecrown2_07_06.php), is moving back to Toronto for <an undetermined period> for family and personal reasons. The shore is definitely losing a valuable community member!

Anyways, let's have a send-off for Jon at North Shore Bike Shop (http://www.northshorebikeshop.com/5.html) on Thursday, May 17 from 7:30 pm to whenever.
Also, I'm going to be presenting Jeremy Power his NEW BIKE at this party! Going to really work hard on getting everything together early next week so this can happen! Jeremy, make sure you put this one in your calendar. Also, I would very much like all the contributors to be present so we can thank you all individually!
In addition, this can serve as a North Shore Bike Shop Grand Opening for those who have not checked out the shop yet, this will be a great opportunity to do so.
EVERYONE is invited! To my dear competitors, please attend! This is not a business function - it is social - and being held here at the shop because my wife and I both work on the shore until 8:30 or 9:00, so to host a party at our house at SFU is just not practical. Plus I've wanted to meet you guys and introduce myself anyways!
DETAILS
WHAT: The party will be a byob potluck - I'll have snacks, pop, and the like, but everyone please bring something consumable and your own booze - we'll have tables set up for the food and lots of standing and mingling room! The Jeremy Power Bike Giveaway will be happening at around 8:30 pm. The great thing about a Potluck is that no matter how many people attend, there will be enough (but not too much) food and beverage for everyone!
WHERE: North Shore Bike Shop, 134 16th St W, North Vancouver
WHEN: Thursday May 17,7:30 pm and onwards
WHO: Everyone! It doesn't matter if you like the shop or don't! Come out and thank Jeremy for his contributions to the shore and say bye to Jonny.Zee!
WHY: for PARTYING! To say bye to a good friend, to welcome back (to riding) a good friend, to check out North Shore Bike Shop, to celebrate the return of the good weather, so many reasons to come out and party!
HOW: however you can! 16th is covered in free parking with tonnes of spaces on weekday evenings, HUGE covered patio and lots of store space (Standing room mostly)
