Your seals aren't blown. They just have dust and particules under the lip. take your fork apart and clean it thoroughly then apply some fork lube on the seals and put it back together. the oil you are seeing is only lubricating oil from the lowers so it's nothing to worry about.

Motion control is 150 cc of 5wt oil
15cc of 15wt oil in the lowers in both sides

2 weeks? I've been hearing alot of rumors lately about this 1-2 week turn-around times at shops. Personally, I think this some serious mistake on the part of shop managers to not get their work up to speed. Our shop guarantees 2 day turn-arounds and if a part needs to be ordered, then it takes a week at the most. Business isn't slow either....we do about 20 repairs a day, which include everything such as fork O/H's.

2 weeks for seals sounds a bit long. Even if it was busy it seems a bit much. Ever thought of doing it yourself? SRAM provides great service manuals online. With a bit of time and a couple tools, you could have things up and running in no time.

Well, I wouldnt wanna screw around with a 700$ fork. It looked like there was a bit of dirt under the seals, but hey, they said they'd completly overhaul it for me, so its all good i guess.

Your doing the right thing. If you have problems later on you have receipts that show your performing regular maintanance at your LBS. When they rebuild have them use the recommended weight of oil etc.. You don't need to tweek that fork.
Its Spring time and the wait is probably because all those bikes on the shelves need to built by someone. They'll have a couple of extra people on but all the mechanics will be really busy right now as stock is moving out the door.

I used to think that exact same thing and then took the plunge one day to work on my boxxer. I couldn't believe I used to pay people to do my maintenance for me. It was so easy, it not even funny.

Here is the manual from the SRAM site: http://www.sram.com/_media/techdocs/05PikeSLRaceTeamCoilService.pdf

Looks as about as easy as Boxxers. With a little patients and an hour or two, I bet you can get it done yourself.

I can completely rebuild my Boxxer in about an hour or less now. Simple oil changes only take 15-20 min. Changing of seals only bumps up to about 30 min or so.

I say dive in dude. Don't be afraid of whats in those fork legs. Its much more elementary than you would expect.

Try what I wrote earlier. just clean it and lube it. You would be surprised! most of the time the seals aren't even blown
