Ryan Hayes was pretty well made with amazing riding ....

yah, i voted for hayes...all those other vids in that round sucked in my oinion, cory had good shots but the riding was not too great except for his final gap.. hayes blew my mind sometimes.

It was a tough choice between Hayes and Derpak but I went for Cory Derpak. He's got good form, he's young, super smooth, lots of potential. :)

I voted for Ryan, all the other vids did not show enough versatility. While Cory's vid was nice and shiny it just showed some DJ's (with did not impress me) and a big tow in. There was a lack of street in this group witch I found kinda sad. I think this was the most dissapointing group as of yet, with one shinning star. And its sad that Geoff did not make it past the last round.....he was the better rider IMO.

Ryan all the way. His vid was by far better than the others. I was expecting a better vid from Cory...3/4 of the way in and we were still watching him hit those DJ's in slow-mo..at least they could have been 50ft doubles like the ones Hayes was hitting up in the last part of his vid. :P

I voted for Ryan. Cory's vid was the best "looking" video so far with Master Begin's influence but the dirt jumping wasn't that great comparatively. And wasn't the tow-in from Superheroes 3?:???: I thought Race Face stipulated that it was to be original footage only

Derpaks vid was lacking um, Riding. Hittign the same dj's for 3/4 of the video then a gap from sh3?

Hayes blew the others outa the water. More of a rounded video in my Opinion.

The other 2 were sort of out of the runnings and I voted Ryan hayes of course.

sadly it looks like this compo is gunna be about "balls-out" riding... and thats kinda sad.. Freeride is alot more then just crazy air...

ohwell, heres my vote and reasons for this week's people:

Ryan: this guy got my vote, and not because i was overly excited by his footage...:mad: his film had lots of good jump skills, and some sik gaps... but the one big drop he nails is messed up by piss-poor camera placement...:(

Cory: this video has amzing (almost pro-level) clarity n angles. but sadly it was poorly edited, and worse yet, theres hardly any riding in this video... how did this even make it into teh finals ????

I will probably get burned for this, but thats cool, there are a lot of different opinions on this.

The huge monster jumps and gaps etc are insane, and showcase pure balls. But, unfortunately, I think they mask skills (which I am sure all the competitors have LOTS of). It is a shame that all we get to see is the massive jumps and drops, and very little "riding" on trails and steep, tech stuff.

Just my take. I just am getting tired of watching jumps and sickly huge drops. Personally, I think footage of fast, smooth riding mixed in with some big hits is much more impressive, and more importantly, a better display of a riders skill. Taking ugly terrain and making it look easy. Taking lines that the average joe wouldn't even see. That, to me, is skill.

I'll make my vote tonight.

It is not rigged. If it was they would not go through the time and volume of feedback to announce their next rider, hardly worth the trouble wouldn't you think?

The winner is based on who gets voted for. There are lots of voters outside of the North Shore, which may explain why our local fav's don't always get picked.

And Cory's wasn't? At least Ryan had about 20 different jumps. Cory's was filmed on two different jumps...and we watched the first one for 3/4 of the minute. Disappointed - derpak had the potential to take this whole contest.
