View Full Version : best canadian online shop
As I have said in other threads a while back, i may be moving over here from the uk (its looking more likely than ever now subject to sorting out terms and dates). been trying to look for decent online shops to guage the cost of accessories/componenets as a general cost of living comparison to the uk (a lot of my money gets spent on bike stuff) and just wondered who most of the guys on here use. I assume prices online also do not inlcude tax until you get to the checkout and put in your address/province, is that right? any help/websites much appreicated.

I still use chain reaction to be honest. I head back and fourth quite a lot which makes things easier, but there's always the option of a generous parent when it comes to shipping!
Online shopping just isn't as big as back home, and prices aren't as competitive.
When are you heading over anyway?

With the strangle hold that Norco/Cycles Lambert and OGC have on the Canadian market, it is unlikely that any real Online stores of note will appear for a while. Most distributors have a "no internet selling" policy.
Firetrap, likely to be soon after christmas at the moment but can't come soon enough, I sort of gathered from searching the web that there isn't the same online presence of bike shops compared to the uk. Guess i'll just have to get off my arse and get down to the local bike shop when i come over. I guess costs of accessories aren't much less than at CRC, although bikes, kona's at least, certinaly work out a fair bit cheaper.

There are a few real small players but none really worth note. Bikeroom held promise as they occasionally seemed to come through for people but the scams and impossibly bad service just won't fly regardless of what business your in.
