As a matter of fact, I did order a copy - looking forward to it.

As for Lee, I'd guess that he'd probably prefer to nail his nuts to a plank than ride around the same closed course for 24hrs.

Mine just arrived. Have it on right now.

Lee's idea of an 24 hour race. Start say in Kamloops and in 24 hours who ever rides the actuall farthest in KM's wins. Includes a mandatory 20 minute sitdown at an all you can eat/carry buffett.

Matt, it will blow you away how well it's done. It's not like the usuall porn style mtb vids.

I'd hit that race format. They should just take the BC Bike Race or Trans Rockies and make it one continuous stage. :)

There are lots of endurance events in the U.S. along those lines now, 100 milers, and other stuff in the 12-14 range or even longer with point to point routes. Some are even restricted to self-supported riders, and done as underground events with no official sanctioning. The problem with them is that much of the mileage is pretty tame in terms of the terrain and trails, since finding a route that has significant singletrack without lengthy paved or dirt road connectors is difficult, if not impossible in most locations. This isn't true with all of the endurance events, as there are a couple made up of lots of slow, nasty singletrack, but they are the exception rather than the rule. It can be done in some places, but not something you could hook up just anywhere.

I should be viewing it this Saturday evening along with a few friends. Sounds excellent.
