Can I buy a FULL GRMBA lisence at the event. I don't want to purchase a "one race only" or "ripper only" license.

Sucks I need too purchase two insurance things to race the season. Racing is just getting more expensive.

the insurance you have to buy will keep you insured for any GRMBA sanctioned event for the year.

I think team freetard needs another member to make it a 4-person team.

I made you that shirt.

I skid on trails, dose out rep beatings and treat mountain biking as a fairly serious business.

Anyone know what the course is? Is this going to be a downhill event, or an all mountain sort of event?

You'd think that's something they'd want to have front and center on the info page. That site only mentions that it starts at CBC and ends at the Bridal Path.

It will be mostly downhill, with some traversing or flat trails and a bit of climbing in the mix. Similar to last year. I'll be on a DH rig.

Up... down... left... right... a little more up...

It will be fun...

I have no idea at this moment what I will be riding!

Then mix in that James is the one picking the course and you have your answer as to why we only mention the starting point :)

I know what a Super D is, but it's a very wide definition as it can be a very long DH with s little bit of uphill between long descents, or it can be a mostly XC event with a overall elevation loss. I've been in both kinds (though the XCish one was relative, it seemed XC for a guy on a full DH bike).

Is the course a secret 'till race-day? I can understand some suprises, but keeping the whole thing a secret is silly. Without knowing where the race will go one can't practice, choose an appropriate bike, or even judge if their skill/fitness level is up for the challenge.

You really don't "get" the FUNdamental thinking behind the Ripper series. Please just go to Obsession and chat with James for a couple minutes and then you might get it. Or go back and read all the write ups here on NSMB about the Rippers.

I mean it is long DH, but be sure to travel light and bring LOTS of energy! :P

If you bring the wrong bike don't forget beer.

Don't worry unless your Wade or some pro someone is going to kick your ass no matter how much you know about the course or practice. Just hope it's not someone on the "wrong" bike or in ridiculous costume.

Can we purchase the insurance at the event if we have already registered and payed?

Also, do you know if an NSMBA membership already includes the GRMBA insurance?

No, NSMBA membership does not include GRMBA insurance.
NSMBA membership is good for a lifetime and it's free (donations are encouraged), but it doesn't cover any race insurance costs...

Note on registration---

EACH member of your 2 or 4 person team must register on their own.

If one member can not then another member must register for them by
completing the contact information details for the TEAM MATE.

If we already paid and registered as a 2 man team and now we have 2 more guys wanting in, how can we go about changing our registration to a 4 man team?
