Help: Yellowknife? *not shore related*

Well... with a degree in hand, I got myself a job. It just so happens that I'm off to yellowknife for the summer with the project that I'm to be working on.

So...
What is the riding like up there? XC? FR? .... road?.... (I have 4 bikes and what to know what one(s) to take)
What are the trails like?
And finally, what are the shops to be at? (got any info for a YK newb?)

I basically have no idea what the riding scene is like up there. I've read the few threads on yellowknife, but i'm looking for info that is current. So post or hit me back! And may your legs hurt and your beers be cold.

My wifes uncle lives up there, says it's beautiful, and the fishing's awesome.
Also, from the pictures I've seen, not much DH. Pretty flat, maybe you could
call it hilly.

I've been up there a bunch of times. Might be limited. Lot's of rock separated by swamps and lakes. But, it don't get dark until September.
