Yeah, I never understand why they give T3's to pelvic and rib injuries.
Would you want to be constipated with body trama?
Extra strength Tylenol is all I use for those big body slams now, although I've got some backup in something called diclofenac sulfate (Arthrotec).

oops..ok, so apparently none of those guys are on this board...ah well, I'll thank them when I see them.
I came up short on the first jump in the big set and tried to dig out a new landing with my hip - the ground won. Pretty sore today but I can walk a little now so I think recovery for this one should be quick. Thanks for your thoughts!
thanks for the info on that Traumeel, I'll look into it. What's it supposed to do? is it just a painkiller?

hey you're supposed to dig out landings with shovels! :P
traumeel is homeopathic and works on soft tissue repair. it's not really a painkiller. you can get it in pills or cream - i have both - from a health food store.

Yup thats what I was thinking, T3's plug you up after a day, Ya dont want to be plugged up with a bruised pelvis. Traumeel, with the Xtra strength Tylenol and Arcana and water work as well as T3's.
And rest, try to take a couple days off work, makes a huge difference.

Hmm, maybe that helpful attitude doesn't carry over to the skatepark. I smasged my face into the concrete the other day and people just rode around me. But then again, it was skateboarders there, not mountain bikers

That's too bad - I find the atmosphere at the dirt jumps vs. the skatepark REALLY different - much prefer the dirt jumps. Recovery is going quickly now (especially after ditching the T3s...those things are AWEFUL!!)
coughing, laughing, and sneezing are all still bad though.

yeah I got prescribed t3s after I left the hospital, still have a bunch left, prefer the ibuprofin.....luckily the back didn't hurt too much! glad to hear you'll be okay, slams are scary, and right now there are too many people hurting themselves....
