my stem is direct mount with no rise. the bar sits at the same height as the top of the flat crown.

weight with the old cranks and guide (raceface nsdh and mrp system 1) was 35.8 ill weight it again when i get the chain and pedals on.

and ya its not custom paint its decals i made in illustrator then had printed.

that looks so fast. keep us updated on how you like it. I really like the 224's. If I could afford one, I would rock it.

If you are who I think you are: My Banshee is lighter than your bike...

Beautiful bike, it was nice to see it coming together. That weight is just great, and yet your bike is far from pinner in any respect, smart build!
How do you find the brakes? I thought avid discouraged using those for downhill? (or is that just to cover their behinds for whatever reason?)

Sounds good.

ps: The one Duke was working on when you started throwing the wheels and stuff on your bike. Might or might not ring a bell.

That is the whole point... not to mention I'd bet your bike doesn't weigh much more. I only mentioned it cause I thought Duke or you said something comparing about one being lighter than the other, but it is no matter....

Midas
04-29-2007, 08:45 PM
ya haha duke was bugging me when he was building it going "this one will be lighter"

Hack On Wheels
04-29-2007, 08:47 PM
Haha yeah, that was it, its probably all of 3 pounds lighter!

Oh and I think the semi-hidden sticker on your bike really finishes it off perfectly.

what program do you use to do custom decals? and then you just print it off on sticker paper right? id pay you to hook me up with some fresh decals if you wanna be a champ

Midas

fresh decals will cost a dealio of cash. I did them in adobe illustrator then took them to a print shop to have printed on clear vynl and laminated.
