Devinci has worked hard this year on filling their line with better bikes, and honing the current bikes to perfection, the Wilson 2, and District 2 are two great examples of this years line, and we've got them now!http://farm1.static.flickr.com/133/416037486_8b55291a64.jpg

As much as I like that Wilson frame... those Daredevil parts sure look cheap as hell.

Gotta agree with ya there......Daredevil parts look cheap... also the bars look like they have a weird rise to them!!!! Frame looks cool though!!!

If you see them in person you might change your mind. The stem is CNC machined in their factory and is a really cool Integrated design, weight is ~160g. The anodization on the bar is much improved over last year. The bike like most presents much better in person.
how much does the district run?

the Daredevil parts are pretty trick, and not cheap if sold on their own
(the shop here at the trails brings Devinci into the UK, and looked at retailing the daredevil parts on their own)
its a smart move, other companies have been doing this for years, and i am surely liking the Daredevil parts better than the parts that come on a complete Specialized or Kona freeride bikes

I think the Dare Devil parts look pretty trick. Nothing wrong with a bit of colour. The quality is as good as anything out there and the sweep... well that's personal preference.

Nice looking, rode one a Frantik this spring. Really nice ride!
Devinci is really steppin it up. I have no problem what so ever with the Daredevil parts.
The colour on the district 2 is sweet!

the problem with the bars wasn't the anodizing. it was and is the feel of those bars. the only thing worth riding/even thinking of buying is the integrated stem. no matter how you put it or how much they sell for the daredevil parts kit is a major bring down for the devincis... running truvativ and maybe even fsa stuff is a better idea.

i agree the bend / rise of the Devinci bars just feels wrong, after years of using Easton or Race Face bars which feel dialled
the Daredevil hubs have been a bit hit and miss, we have several instances of the freehub body coming unscrewed, and pushing the cassette against the dropout :( but easily fixed in the workshop, and doesn't re-occur so perhaps just bad inital build in the hub factory
the Daredevil stem (not integrated) is pretty cool, and looks unique, nice and light too...
no issues with saddles (made by Velo) and seatpost is a seatpost
liking the chainstay protector too...nice and thick he he

the DareDevil hubs are made by Formula, i just rebuilt a rear wheel for a guy with a 06 Ollie, and the Formula hub (black) I used was identical to a silver / red DareDevil hub that had a freehub failure
but this kinda thing can happen with any component made in 1000s so not Devinci's fault in any way..

I swapped bikes for a pedal up and rip down credit line with Jake riding a Ollie on sunday. My first ride on a Devinci. I was suprised how well, even with a heavy build the bike pedaled. And pointing it down it was super quite, hugged the terrain and dived into corners. I wanted to stay on it for the whole dh but Jake was testing it to buy one. Pretty impressive. I would like to check out the rest of the line up. The Wilson and particulary the Frantik look really interesting!

How much would a Frantik 3 set me back?

A Frantik 3 would have set you back $7000! Yep nice parts, but expensive. Unfortunately they are a limited run model that was only sold during the preseason.
