When the vpfrees don't have that gusset on the top tube and seat tube does that make it much weaker?

Quite the opposite young Killick.
Santa Cruz has gone to a 1.5 headtube making it even burlier. Also I think you are refering to the gusset found on a medium sized Vpfree? This is a small size in the photo which didn't feature that gusset.

ah, can you get medium vp frees without that gusset? Because it looks so much sweeter without it haha

The VP-free is such a sick all around bike, bought one last year from Cheryl and this kills all other bikes I've ever owned.

Im liking the the nomad freeride kit, not sure on the slate or black now that Ive seen some actual pics of the slate colour. Nomad is probably a better choice over the vp-free as the bb is lower etc

The 1.5 HT almost looks out of place on that bike but I REALLY like it!!!!!!!

Love the orange color. Love the VP-Free...easily the sweetest bike I've owned. Love the small SantaCruz frame sizing (it's kinda between most small/mediums with most companies. Loved the price for the '06 I had.
Hate that I sold it. I'm a retard.
