After last year's rule debacle we pretty much stayed with what things morphed into last year. A slight tweak was made but otherwise we're staying the course.

We always welcome an outcry though so feel free to get everything off your chest.

Ruling it. (http://www.nsmb.com/shore_news/MSrules_02_07.php)

I really want to do this and only use a disposable camera.

Hi, I've got a quick question: in 2005 summer my cousin and I went riding. He took a sweet shot of me and I was wondering if it would be OK for me to enter his photo into the contest (i.e. me dealing with all the "paperwork", so to say) while, of course, giving due credit and only after having asked for permission. He's super busy studying and doesn't have time for this sort of things.

Thanks,
-DC

Sure you can enter for him but he would be the recipient of any prizes.

Looking forward to the comp, however with the long snowy winter maybe we won't be seeing too much new material...

Thank you for making my day:lol::lol:.
I think the rules are relatively fair. Looks like it will be another good show:D.

for clarification, where is the line drawn between bmx and mtb?

Yup, that's the idea. Thanks for the clarification, chances are he'll be entering then. ;)

Well from December to now it's been pretty tough in most of "our area" to get higher than anything but the lowest trails... I know people ride, but there's not much riding happening of the type of shots that we see in Moneyshot... I'm kind of lazy so I won't dig up the previous 4 finalists but I'm sure you remember them - don't think you'll argue that there's not too much of that stuff going on right now... (some, yes, not a lot)

BMX = 20" Wheels.

MTB > 20" Wheels.

It's not that hard...

Since I mentioned it on the front page I should say that tasteful flesh will be welcomed in the contest. If you aren't sure if the shot you took of your wife or girlfriend is within the rules please feel free to send it to me for guidance

Does your wife not read the boards :)

True Matt - around here at least. The upside is that Money Shot is a worldwide contest. And the previous contest ended in early June last year so everything taken since then will be new for the contest.

Does your wife not read the boards :)

I can hardly get her to check the front page yearly - let alone the boards. On top of that she has a sense of humour. I figure I'm covered.

I'll help you judge any skin pictures you happen to get sent in. It's a tough task but someone has to offer to help out.

I was actually thinking of some artistic biking nudes.... is this allowed?

or we could use some common sense and realize this is a family/all ages thing and well u should be able to figure out the rest.

now apart from that and my lack of common sense, film that i've shot from the previous year, now it can only be entered via scanning through my lack there of one? or is there another option in the process.

for the rest of you that are complaining about the lack of trails open for clear of snow riding, why dont u come to whistler and ride here, im pretty u can ride the road or a ski run so no complaining that u have few trails to ride. go to the shed or the few other places local and open for u to ride, or even go to squamish but dont complain i dont wanna hear it cause u have nothing to complain about unless u live an actual fully snowed in community much like whistler.

What if someone has a 24" BMX?

And if that's counted as a BMX, what about a rigid 24" wheeled mountain bike?

What about an old Gack Trail Mod 26" BMX cruiser? Or any old 26" wheeled BMX race bike for that matter?

Full-sus 20" wheeled kids' bike with deraileurs and all?

Feel free to enter bmx shots and we can let the judges decide.

In terms of tasteful nudes - a la the Muddbunnies calendar - that's a great idea. Just be aware of the nature of our clientele and the wide age range.

Scanning - I went through this in another thread. You need to enter the shots yourself so somehow they need to be digitized - either by yourself or by a commercial operation (like London Drugs around here or Future Shop) and then uploaded to the galleries.

I was thinking of the same thing... More partial nudity then full though, have to keep it tastefull.
