Ya exactly what was as photographer sappouse to do with a brand new bike when he takes photos of riders and already has his own steed of bikes. Maybe he could have set up a cable cam on the bike he won for sequences. He had no choice but to sell.

I'd love to see some film shots. I personally wouldn't trust scanning duties to anyone else. I would say try to get it handled on your end.

The best idea is to resize the shots first. The max dimension vert or horizontal is 800 pixels so the largest image you could put up would be 800 x 800.

Otherwise just upload 'em here. http://photos.nsmb.com/

If you anticipate a problem it might be an idea to do a dry run or two. If you have any issues please let us know here.

Is there a photofinishing place or a Kinkos or something within 10 miles of you? It shouldn't be that hard to organize unless you live in Inuvik.

this contest is gonna rock im so stoked! the only problem i see is people last year will re submit pics. i dont know about everyone else but seeing pictures from last year up isnt going to help. if it didnt win last year re submitting it this year will ensure its failure. even if its a great shot. hopefully im not to outspoken about this

Quality is never the same from an original to scan. Go to London drugs, you can ask for different qaulity levels of scan from consumer to professional. Than just submit them via online. That is the easiest way, you seem abit confused and lost. London Drugs does a not bad job if you have no speciality shops in your area.

We have no specific plans to use any of the images in print - and last year we didn't use any in print at all. One possibility I can think of is press in other mtb publications about the contest or perhaps in the odd catalogue from one of the contest's sponsors.

Both of these are unlikely circumstances. Rest assured that we would never do anything tasteless with a photo you submit.

I know it's a bit late, but maybe it would be good to lengthen the contest by putting a week break in between each contest week. This would be better because people (such as myself) who live in urban areas and don't have direct access to mountains in the spring, would be able to shoot in the summer.
