sorry ot thread jack, but what kind of league is it you play in. I might go to Emily Carr next year and I want to keep playing goal for a team somewhere in a decent organized league. I'd be 22 if there is an age restriction.
Also, how does the other goalie like those blockades? I was considering getting some used ones before I bought my RBK's, but heard a lot of negative shit about em.

oh man that league looks awesome. Thanks. RBK's are sick, you would definetly not regret it. I have the premier series I's and the only other pads I'd ever consider switching to now are the new PII's or the louisville R8s (but good lord are they ugly).

Not a chance, that kinda of stack instituted in the right way can probably provide the best weightloss, on top of the excersise and diet that obviously must preceed them.

I know that - I've known FuMan for awhile. It's a f*ckin rhetorical expression, I believe I have known Andreas long enough that a lot of this will actually mean something to HIM - not the PC wannabes on the internet. IE - Greeks eat well, and its a lifestyle for them. He can tell you himself, or you can get out and live a little.

Andreas, again - good on ya. I'll still smoke your ass down the trails at Sun Peaks

werd. I'm also not doing what most people do and take 3 stacks a day. I only take 1.

Also i don't know why people have their panties in a frisk about the ECA stack. Look in the ingredients for your cold medicines. In about most of them ephedrine is one of the ingredients.

i read it. it's not about hurting you andreas, it's about accelerated progress and how it's much easier to fall back when you're on a supplemented program. how often do you take cough medicine? probably not every day like an eca stack or other weightloss supplement.

discowitch

synch is right about accelerated progress that drugs bring. I was on a drug called xenical, a prescription weight loss drug, I lost 40 pounds in three months, when I went off it I gained it all back plus a bit extra. Since I have been following Synch's plan I have consistently lost and toned up and I have managed to keep it all off even if I do sometimes fall of the program due to stress at work, being sick, i get right back on with no ill effects like weight gain, and it is easier to stay on track after a almost a solid year of working at it.

No comment, but those that generally put it off fast are able to maintain it if they keep their diet steady and excersise each day.

Wow, Andreas.

That's a lot of money to toss into a sport that you've never played before.

I played for years, but my league encouraged goalies by supplying the armour and leg pads, so that's the stuff I still don't own. I think it'd be too expensive to get into again.

I have some Vaughn Legacy gloves, and that's pretty much it.

That's the point andreas I was doing that but with out the drug blocking the fat content of the food i was eating, it just stayed in my system and added the pound back on, because my body was starved for it. I am pretty sure you will find the same thing once you stop taking the eca.

oh I think synch is very informed as to the effects of various weight loss options out there, i would listen to him very carefully andreas, he really does know what he is talking about. And you might not gain any back but did you ever think there could be other side effects you might end up having to deal with that you were not expecting.

I lost 40 pounds in three months, when I went off it I gained it all back plus a bit extra.

i always read this quotes about so and so losing so and so weight

ive never taken any drug to get in better shape but when i was running 40 min 5 days a week coupled with not having any money to buy lots of food (i could only buy fruits and vegetables and frozen chicken) i dropped 25 lbs in two months. suffice to say i lost a ton of muscle because i didnt lift (which was lame) as well as fat but just toughen up and work your ass off. now i gained 20 lbs and i dont feel much fatter after a year of lifting. it seems so easy to change your body if you just work at it; i think most people don't try hard enough, you have to work until you feel like dying every day and then you can have the satisfaction knowing you did it without these weird ass drugs

but good job on getting in better shape ; if your lifting soon youll probably be staying the same weight but getting leaner which is sichter

jesus christ you chose to be a goalie in your first year? I mean I have accumulated gear of about that quality over the 15 years I've played net and I still shudder when I think of the fact it's cost me close to 5 grand. I at least have the comfort of not having had to pay it all at once though and know I'll always play hockey and always be in net, so it'll always get used. What if you had really not liked the sport? Not hating but just shocked is all. Most every goaltender I've ever talked to has said if they were to start all over again they probably wouldn't be a goalie for pure financial reasons despite loving hte position.

to what do you attribute the 10lb gain?

I lost 10lbs (on 175) when I retired even tho I was relatively active,I figure it was due to more exercise ,less stress,it was easier to plan better eating due to less road food/tim hortons drive thru and quiting what was basicly an interrupt driven lifestyle ...

Genes and body type aside IMO its about lifestyle, thats why diets don't work unless you can maintain the lifestyle that you used to lose the weight

Apple fritters.

Seriously, it was from my short stint as a landscaper last year. I'm beefcake. BEEFCAKE! Building stone retaining walls for 10 hours a day by yourself using several hundred 120lb blocks...well, you know, my ass is almost as sculpted as Synchro's.

...and the fact that I haven't exercised in almost a year = fatness.

im also not sure about those supplement and weightloss
i have had all of my trainers tell us to stay the hell away from that stuff
i have lost 25 pounds since the begining of the summer, and i was not working on it super hard during the summer (well i was still active mtb + hour road ride most days)
now i am working on it alot more tho
my goal is to get down to a lean 180 so i have about 9 pounds to go and alot of lifting
im doing about an hour of cardio on the road trainer 3 days a week and lifting/ core 5 days a week. but i am going to bump my cardio up to 5 days a week
i am going to bump up my

it seems to be working pretty well i am still trying to adjust my diet to lighter choices
