The Carbon upper link version is, so far, a protoype for '08. This frame was altered late late summer to where it is now. 83mm BB, ISCG 05, slightly different around the seatmast/ shock mount area, Ti hardware.

Cool thanks for the info, it has always had Ti hardware though.

I know this is kinda random but do you guys rent out XC bikes or all mountain bikes?

Steed Cycles

Steed does not actually have a rental program, there is an all-mountain demo bike however.

Could you weigh a SPX FR kitted VPFree please. The SC site says it comes in at 34.8lbs with a coil Totem. Hard to believe...

It defintiely is not 34.8 lbs. We don't have our SPX VPFrees yet, but our FR R kit with a totem coil weighs 41.25 lbs. I would think the SPX would be around 39lbs.

Well, with your R FR build coming in at 3lbs over SC's number (I'm assuming you've got pedals on it, unlike SC), it's a fair assumption whatever they're missing out is similar across the bikes. Thus the SPX FR Totem build would probably be 37.8lbs. Not too shabby.
