Looking through the bike market at possible competition for a Norco Shore 1, I can't help but stop and look at the Iron Horse 7.7 and 7.5. These are beautiful bikes for sure, and the MSRP seems to suggest good value.
However I keep coming back to the same problem...you have to buy them at SportChek in Canada. I know you can order them from the states, but I hate buying a bike i have never rideen.
ANyone have thoughts on Iron Horse 7.7 & 7.5 for 2007

Go into the Inside Line section of the forum and ask your question in one of Cove Bike Shop's threads, you'll get an answer directly from the Cove!!:dizzy:
Last time I was in there, they still had the 2006's, 7.7 was just under 4 g I believe, and the 7.5 at just under 3 or thereabouts. don't quote me on that.

Posernewbie on this forum had a Sunday for a period of time and complained about the build quality of the frame, something along the lines of the bearing bore being oversized, I'm sure he'll eloborate if he says this thread.

I test rode a 7.5 before picking up my current bike. I found the fit to be not quite right for me, but the bike did pedal well and sucked up the bumps well. IH does do a very good job of putting the right parts on their frames to jack the value of the bike way up.

My experience to the T.
I'm not a big guy, but have pretty 'standard' proportions... so... Make sure you test ride one prior plunking down hard earned $.

I have bought two bikes from them, however both times I had them shipped to the Point Roberts (USA) and brought them back into Canada.
My experiance with RScycle is that they seem to be a cheap place to buy bikes, but I wouldn't excpect tem to be that helpfull with any problems.
I just took the 7point out for a fast rip last night, semms good, but I dont know about the tires....

Agreed, i thought the tires would be the weak link on that build.

I've always really like the 7points - a few of my friends have them and they ride nice for an all around bike. If you are buying from the US and wanting to avoid the duties don't ship to Point Roberts, find a place in Blaine or Sumas instead, build it up and get the bike dirty, and say you were riding down in Bellingham or Glacier or somewhere.
Edit: Just say you are looking at a Sunday and not a 7point. I think the Sunday wouldn't work too well around here since it is so low - you will be smashing the bb into everything. I debated between the sunday and the shocker and am happy I went with the shocker.

My low BB does nothing but make cornering awsome and the bike very stable.

on paper the bb seems low but every owner says they never have trouble
but the sunday is looking harder and harder to get and the 7point is looking sexier by the day
