Bike trip ideas ?

Hi, i want to plan a bike trip for my bike club at school. maybe some sorta "adventure", some where that takes more than just a couple hours to get to. has anyone ever done anything like this ?

I normally plan some pretty epic trips out of town when I get a chunk of vacation. This Christmas and New Years I hauled my MTB in my little ol' Mustang down to Tucson, Arizona. I road Starr Pass and Brown Mountain in Tucson Mountain Park, then made one long XC trip from Sonoita to Collosal Cave via La Cienega Creek. From there, Moab's a good stop on the way home. Of course, you'd need at least 2 weeks to enjoy something like this.
