Good article Cam! Congrats on the publication and publicity. Will it appear in the print magazine as well?

Cam,

I still remember when you emailed me about a new e-magazine so many years ago (1998?). Well you've come a long way since then.

Best of the season to you and your family and continued success to you!!

Thanks all! The article already appeared in the print version of Bicycling. I still remember pre-Bike when aside from 'Winning' it was pretty much the only magazine out there.

I thought Brian did a great job assembling what we talked about into something coherent.

Dan - I'll take that blame! We'll have to get out and pedal when I'm functional again.

Awesome having you contribute this year Lee. I was thinking that this morning over coffee. Keep those stories rolling brother! I have some brakes for you to try as well so fire me a message.

Sean - the illustration is pretty funny. I sent some photos and that's what they came up with. My hairline is absolutely perfect - like he photoshopped it in - but my face was beaten by an ugly stick larger than the one I usually employ at home. I'm not sure if they thought 'he's forty - better make him look it' or what. You'll notice that the image on the front page isn't so battered - I did some cosmetic PS work out of vanity. Maybe I'm supposed to be dirty after a ride on the stunts that are behind me?

If it's to be my avatar it needs some clown make-up or something.

Yup, Cypress lot 5.

Just before the Shuttlewhore BBQ and the Subway sandwich artist performance.

McRae considers buy-out offers for NSMB.com

By PETER E. CAMPBELL, Associated Press Writer 37 minutes ago

NORTH VANCOUVER, Canada – NSMB.com founder, Cam Mcrae is reportedly considering multiple takeover offers for his hugely popular webzine. Recent polls show that NSMB.com is now the most influential media outlet in the rapidly growing sport of riding bicycles on stunts, down steep slopes, and very occasionally uphill.

Rupert Murdock’s initial offer of cash and stock was last night gazumped by Ted Turner who plans to roll out a new empire called AOLNSMBTIME which his experts predict will soon control the minds of some 250,000,000,000 people world wide.

Not to be outdone, sources say that an angry Conrad Black has sent orders from his jail cell that Turner must be outbid at all costs or heads will roll. Black plans to spin off the bulletin board and the buy and sell while focusing on the core business of telling trail tales.

Stock prices of NSMB rose by $250.00 overnight to an all time high of $250.01.

Pretty cool Cam! Nice to get to know you better with the article. Looks like you have some nice life experiences! Where abouts in Italy were you located? I lived in Nice when I was 16 years old- where I could ride flat+street 365 days a year-which is half an hour away from the Italy-Menton(France) border where I promise you'll get the best Gelato ( San Remo).

no sarc meant in my earlier post, btw... just having a bit of fun with how NSMB seems to pop up in all the print mags these days; and appears to me to be the most influential mtb media out there right now - good to see and great for Cam.

Also; I noticed a sweet interview with Jerry on trail building in one of those honkin big glossy British mags this month. People should look that up... pretty cool.
