Im running last years vento 8's and from my experiences so far theyre solid boots, bit noisy, nice wide toebox, and a pretty flat footbed so shitty for high arch. But yah solid boots thus far.

i have flat high volume feet. i was fitted for vento 10's at snowcovers but they will be like 650 with some punching and such

but i am thinking of going for the vento 6 with the HVL as its quite a bit cheaper

basiclly what i want in the boot is somthing that is comfortable as my current boots are hell

I have a mid-width high volume foot with high arch. Nordica Speedmachines were the best fit on the shelf for me. The arch - or your lack of one - is simply solved with appropriate footbeds.

I ride last years Tecnica Diablos, they are mint with footbeds from Surefoot. Best boots I have ever worn.

I'm using Rival X7 Hot Form which I think has been replaced with the Vento 8.

Why I bought it? They fit my "narrow" calf and foot. My other option would have cost about $400 more.

As an intermediate skier I find them very responsive. No play whatsoever around the calf and foot area. Which is a major plus for me.

About the noise, I thought it was normal for ski boots coming from a snowboard background. I guess not.
