For what kind of use?

The way I see it is that the ETSX is long travel cross country bike and the mk3 may be more sturdy/all-mountainish.

Which seems to have the better components?

xc look at my hot spandex clad ass, i send 1 foot hucks and 18 hour epic rider 29 pounds- etsx foor sure such a lovely bicycle.
