Would anyone like to join me for a night ride in the snow at the Woodlot??

Start time would be around 6:30pm but the time can be adjusted if needed.

If you do not have a light I have an extra set for the bars and helmet so if you want to come out for your first night ride.......in the snow just let me know.

PM me or post in this thread.

Time: 6:30 or so... Wednesday, Nov. 29th.
Place: The Woodlot
Trails: As high up the hill as we can go. Likely Krazy Karpenter down or if we are adventurous Cabin Trail down. :D

Looks like DaveM is in.

Any others??

Heckler, I prefer to ride my bike than ski/board.

I feel that night riding on your bike is fun. Night riding in the snow on your bike is ridiculously fun.

I'm tempted, but I have plans to climb tonight. If they fall through I may join you guys.
Are you concerned about the snow that's falling right now?

If only the woodlot is closer. I'd love to come out but going out there in rush hour from downtown is just not feasible.

Dean! how many pairs of snowshoes should I drop off for your guy's "ascent"???

yup, snowshows and some kind of kid's crazy carpet to use as a sled for your bike. i find pushing the bike through the snow or shouldering it is the most annoying thing ... though sinking with every foot step is a lot of work too ...

but this snow is so prime for riding in, it's totally worth it.

I'm unfortunately out. It just took over 2 hours to get from Richmond to Coquitlam, I don't want any part of crossing the Pitt bridge in an hour.

Awwwww geeez Dave! I always look forward to the eastbound-rush-hour-pitt-bridge crossing just adds to the anticipation factor of a ride.

Sorry Dean, I'm out. Eagle snowshoe tommorrow maybe.

I'm guessing given how brutal the snow was last night, the ride didn't happen

thedude did go out from what I've heard. He's braver than any old snowfall.

I was considering heading up Randy's, but the couch won.

Given the weight of the snow, I would imagine it was quite a dangerous trek. Thedude, are you still with us?

thedude DID get out, the hardcore mofo that he is.I heard he packed his bike up on a snowmobile, and hit Cabin Trail.

and Chuck Norris was on the side of the road going up, crying because the snow was so deep. So thedude carried him up and used him like a GT racer for his first run down.

Snowmobiling to the top is fine, but I could never get the snowmobile balance when it was strapped to my backpack coming back down.

And then thedude saw Vin Diesel hiding from the snow in a snow well and just stared at him. Vin is now pregnant with thedudes kid.

What?

I did make it out alive. And I must say that Chuck Norris has packed on a few pounds.

Solo night rides aren't too bad I must say and the snow made it even more fun.

HELMET CAM VIDEO OF MY RIDE (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2625328965180346846&hl=en)

Lots of broken branches and trees on the trail.

Was Chuck on his back or his belly when in GT racer mode?On his back you could shift gears, on his belly well.......... I'm not going there.
