Two new additions to the 2007 team include local trials rider Alex Neely and NSMB's moneyshot winner Kaleb Trozzo. Kaleb will be assisting the team by providing photos through out the season.
Dakine (http://www.dakine.com/base.cfm) has already signed as a major team sponsor for the new season and we will be posting more sponsors as deals are in place.
Back from last season team members Steve Tuchwisky, Braeden Anderson and Graham Agassiz. Check the site for photo updates from Kaleb, Taylor and the team in the gallery (http://www.bicyclecafe.com/kamloops/gal/) weekly.

Here's an interview of Bicycle Cafe team rider Graham Agassiz which Elbry of Northshore Freeriders completed recently.
Good work Elbry, way to give exposure to a great rider and person.

name: Graham Agassiz
park,freeride,slopestyle..Aggy can do it all!
other alias: Aggy
age: 16
sponsors: The Bicycle Cafe (http://bicyclecafe.com/kamloops), Kona (http://www.konaworld.com/), Race Face (http://www.raceface.com/), Dakine (http://www.dakine.com/base.cfm), Oakley (http://www.oakley.ca), Giro (http://www.giro.com/main.html), & Mom and Dad
Sending it this year and landing on the radar of most film makers.
how did you get in to freeriding? In gr.8 my buddy Sott Duncan got me into mtn biking, we would ride Rose Hill almost every day. His brother Ian Duncan showed me lots of stuff as well.

style for miles in kamloops
did you race and at what level? I started racing BMX when i was 7 yr old. It was really fun, and i think that it helped my riding out lots!
http://cafe.autisticpig.com/gal/albums/userpics/10001/normal_Agasiz1.JPG
Tricks are for kids!
whats your take on slopestyle? I think sloepestyle is where mtn biking is headed. It gets the most media attention out off all the other events out there. And it is something where you can go watch it all with out it being all over the mtn, Its a good way to show kids the sport alot easier, when the worlds top riders are all in one spot, riding at there very best.

flowing style
would you like to see a rampage event or do you think the sports moved on? I think that it should defenetly come back. There are lots of people out there that like that sort of riding, and it shows a different type of skill besides dirt jumping or any other type of freeriding.

He will be ready for slopestyle in 2007
whats your plans for 2007? Compete and qualify at Crankworx, im not really sure what else, i just want to be able to do as much as possible and travel. Id like to also go out filming more next season and go on more photo shoots.
http://cafe.autisticpig.com/gal/albums/userpics/10001/normal_aggy_boost.jpg
booster!
did you do much filming or photos this year? I went filming quit a bit this year. I went out and sessions with the guys from CKD; also i filmed a segment with In Session and NSX. This past season i went out shooting lots with Kaleb Trozzo, Scott Duncan, and once with Harookz. All of this was really fun, and a big highlight this year.
how do you have your bikes setup? On my Stinky primo i pretty much run it stock besides a 66rc2x and some other small stuff. On the cowan i run it single speed'd and single braked.

ready to rumble
what riders do you look up to over the years? The first riders that come to mind is, Paul Bas, Thomas Vanderham, Ben Boyko, Timo Pritzel, and Matt Hunter.

The Bicycle Cafe Kamloops has just added a junior team member, Scottie Duncan to the 2007 team. These young guns are training hard and we are expecting some good things from them this season.
We have also had the pleasure of adding Deity (http://www.deitycomponents.com/)to our sponsor list. Expect to see a lot more Deity in the shop and on the team bikes for this season.

Best Team Rider update ever!

Team rider Dave Stewart sent me this photo from the recovery center in Portland Oregan. Since Dave's accident last year when he was hit by a car training on the road in Kamloops and paralyzed from the waist down, he has been battling his way back. His hard work is paying off and we hope to see Dave back on a bike and riding on our Bicycle Cafe team with Santa Cruz bikes under him soon!

Lots of shake ups and downs on the Cafe team this week.
Some riders have left mid season to pursue new careers or opportunities. We wish them all the best!
We'd like to announce our newest team rider Dylan Sherrard to the team. Dylan is a recent transplant to Kamloops from the Yukon. He isn't new to the community here though, Dylan has spent many summers and spring breaks here in town and now he has moved here for good!
