View Full Version : nov12 sunday morning shuttle
i'm very sad that i missed last weekends ride, so whats going down this weekend? seymour or cypress? do we still need to get up crazy early? and why wont enyone buy my fork or frame?

On Sunday we were talking about *gasp* climbing Fromme. I am not sure what I am going to do this weekend. I really want to ride but my wife works at 10:30 which means I need to be home by 9:30-9:45, so that means back at the truck after the ride by around 9. While it is possible, if anything goes wrong (mechanical) I will be in trouble. Add to that my back is not doing very well at the moment and I sound like I am making excuses not to ride.
So, plan it without my trailer. I would consider riding Fromme but it will have to be starting a climb BY 6:30-6:45 (I suspect alone at that time, unless Silk rides on Sundays) and I think the weather will have to be on the dry side because I cant handle any more slips off of wood skinnies.

you cant shuttle fromme,
and i have an idea, what if jake pull your trailer with his truck. so then your truck can stay at home and you can ride all day.

I know we cant shuttle Fromme, but logistically it is quicker to climb earlier while it is dark, ride at first light, and be at the truck and not need a ride back up to get it. Plus we have only done Fromme once.
Option B for me would be a quick run on Sexboy/FG which I should have enough time to drive shuttle as long as we start at 7.
Option C, Seymour, but someone else needs to be the shuttle bitch so I have my truck at the bottom and can leave at the end of the ride.
Transport isnt the issue. I could ride there and back if I had to, but I have 2 kids, I am working again and dont get to hang out with them every minute of everyday anymore so we have some serious playing to catch up on.

If someone wants to drop by my work on Saturday... I can be able to borrow a rack to use since we don't have Eric's trailer.
Oh yeah, did I mention, Cypresssssssssssssssssssss?

Andrew, why would i need to pull the trailer with my truck..... It is a truck! Long box doh. And i fixed my turn signals, and got the tach hooked up. Next is to do the ignition system cus its kinda buggered and my stereo.

I screwed up, this weekend I am good till 10:30, the following week is the early one. Pick a time and meeting place and if my back holds out, I will be there.

If my arm/elbow is feeling good, I'll be riding Sunday.

Ya, I think we should get the Mog running and shuttle Eagle all day, that would be fun, maybe DaveM will come too.
I enjoy climbing, lets you warm up before you ride. It will be a while before I can hike Eagle though but I think my knee could manage a ride up Fromme.
Now the bad news, my back has flared up something fierce. Unless it gets alot better by the weekend, I wont be riding. And I still have 2 days in between now and then that I have to work, I dont see it getting any better.

sorry guys no little white truck this is the 3rd week out now .. my head is all good im free of my concussion ... but im in whistler this weekend geeting the cabin ready for winter and getting pissed .... i really need a good ride too

^^^^Would love to BUT, I am off work again as of today, back is too bad right now, so no work means no play. I try working again tuesday so see how I do, maybe get to ride next saturday/sunday?

Unfortunatly i can not, i work sunday 8-4pm, but i just finished working on a problem section in sprockids park, looks really good along with what the rest of the program did. I won't be there, but the rest of the guys who do not have to work sunday will be. I wish i could, but it is my first day of work at the new job :(
does enyone know if icbc is open on saturday.
so it's friday and still nothing has been decided.

why so funny.. I had a sweet ride today with thedude, hungover therob, and Clown. we met at 6:30ish. hit up 7th, lower oilcan, and Boundary. There's slippery wet snow all down 7th. Wet wood everywhere, but still super fun.

Cool. Wish I could have been there, Burke was good, but there's something about an early, early rip when you have the mountain to yourself.
I'm not going to ride tomorrow. My arm has been feeling a little off this week, I can really feel the hardware in it :(
I believe that no one is going for tomorrow's ride.
