You may be noticing the absence of a shuttle vehicle. In fact it's several hundred feet below us. Shuttling with Lee means getting a ride at least part way.

We continued this hike a bike for 45 minutes or so up some seriously steep logging road. Was it worth it? Oh ya!! Loamy forests interspersed with steep rock faces. Amazing riding with a tonne of vert.

We actually got in 5 rips on this trip and this was the only serious hike a bike. From what I hear of other trips with Lee and Sharon I got off super easy! At least I didn't have to bushwack.

post more pics!
maybe from the summit and definitely from the descent! :)

80% of my riding looks the same way (minus there's never a shuttle)... gotta used to it.

I wished all yesterday... and last night... and even this morning that I had gone on that trip with you guys.

I guess that I will have to "deal" with going to the SSC this weekend! How disappointing!

Looks like you guys had a great time!

Next time count me in for sure!

I uploaded some more photos (http://picasaweb.google.com/thebigchin/PembertonNov5). I was too occupied trying to keep up so there's not too many riding shots. But there's some proof that we DID actually shuttle.

Next time we'll have to slow down and make sure to take more pix.

The view of Mt Currie was really cool.

Hmm...I'm upset that I didn't make the most of the reprive from the arc-building weather yesterday to go for a ride. I can imagine that Pemberton would have been relatively good despite the recent rain.

What's even crazier is thegiggler rode up that super steep logging road on his 42 lb Knolly V-Tach. The whole time as I pushed up behind him I was thinking "what a bastard!"

super day!

Thanks a lot for organizing Lee, and for not including any hike-a-bikes through (up) clear cuts!

The last run was definitely a new favourite for me, and I'm really glad we didn't slow down to take pictures.

Yesterday rocked.

Look for Lee to be selling all his xc gear at blow out prices. He's getting a full DH bike and a big redneck size 4x4 pick-up :)
